Chelsea: Fans desperate for club to sign Alex Telles

A Bola (via The Sun) reports that the west London outfit are currently battling Paris Saint-Germain for the Brazilian’s signature, much to the delight of supporters. Left-back has been a drag area for Frank Lampard this season, with English coach forced to alternate between Cesar Azpilicueta, Emerson and Marcos Alonso. and searching at statistics, going forward, Telles might be an upgrade on all three.

For example, consistent with WhoScored, he has averaged 2.1 key passes per game within the current Liga NOS campaign. that’s quite what Azpilicueta (1.2), Alonso (1.1) and Emerson (also 1.1) have all managed in England.

Telles also makes 2.6 crosses per game, which is again variety that the Chelsea trio cannot match. once you take all of that under consideration , signing the ex-Inter Milan man looks a no brainer , especially if the club fail to land reported target Ben Chilwell.

Chelsea launch £48m defender bid after ending pursuit of former target

Chelsea are able to make a sensational £48m offer to Brighton for defender Lewis Dunk, consistent with a report.

It was recently claimed that the Blues had decided against activating their £40m buyback option on Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake, and would advance to other targets.

Frank Lampard has favoured using Fikayo Tomori and Kurt Zouma at centre-back this season, with Antonio Rudiger also a robust option and Andreas Christensen redeeming himself in his manager’s eyes.

However, they’ll still be trying to find defensive reinforcements, and therefore the Daily Star claim to understand Lampard’s ideal candidate.

They suggest that Chelsea are able to launch a bid for Lewis Dunk, because the 28-year-old continues to impress for Brighton.

Dunk has played for hometown club Brighton at three levels, winning two promotions with them and establishing himself together of the simplest English centre-backs within the Premier League – resulting in a sole international cap in November 2018.

The Star suggest he might be in line for bigger things, as he’s set to be the topic of a £48m bid from Chelsea – a fee even they admit is “astonishing”.

The price tag would see Dunk become the fourth costliest English player in history – behind only Kyle Walker, Raheem Sterling and Harry Maguire.

The Blues are mulling over a possible move for Dunk since the beginning of the January transfer window, and will soon take action and test Brighton’s resolve.

Dunk had been linked with Leicester City within the summer as a replacement for Harry Maguire, at which era his value stood at £40m, but the Foxes opted to stay with what they already had in reserve.

Chelsea player training with other club – Deal close to being announced

Although Atlético Mineiro and Chelsea are still to form their deal for Nathan official, it seems the Brazilian club are pretty confident that the negotiations are going to be successful.

Following the top of his loan spell at the top of the year, the midfielder had left Galo and was expecting the clubs to seek out an answer .

Now consistent with Super Esportes, the player is back training with Atlético Mineiro, making it clear that his return to the team is extremely close.

They say Nathan are going to be loaned bent Atlético until the summer, and therefore the Brazilian side will have an choice to buy him at the top of the spell.

Good news for Chelsea: Lampard given key injury boost from star man

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has received positive news on the injury front as Christian Pulisic could reportedly return before schedule.

The 21-year-old has played a key role for the Blues thus far this season, scoring six goals and providing six assists in 23 appearances.

However, he missed the convert Burnley after suffering an adductor injury, and as reported by The Sun, he was initially ruled out for a month.

Chelsea are handed a true boost though because the report goes on to suggest that Pulisic is now expected to only miss a few of weeks and can return before that initial recovery timeline to supply Lampard another vital option within the final third.

It’s added that the FA Cup clash with Hull City on January 25 has been earmarked as a possible return date for the USA international, then while that might mean he misses games against Newcastle Utd and Arsenal before then, it’s still great news for Chelsea that he’ll potentially be back in contention before initially expected.

It will be a timely boost for Lampard too if that’s the case, as Chelsea face a difficult schedule to start out February, with games against Leicester City, Man Utd, Tottenham and Bayern Munich.

With that in mind, getting another top attacking option back will surely be music to the ears of Lampard, who will little question hope that Pulisic can avoid any setbacks now and return before schedule as touted within the report above to offer Chelsea a lift.

The Blues are still holding on to fourth spot but with Man Utd just five points behind, they’re going to be wanting to have a totally fit squad between now and therefore the end of the season to make sure that they debar their rivals.

Kepa has an “arrogant” side, but a “fantastic attitude” says ex-Chelsea player

The Athletic may be a great resource for news about what’s happening at Chelsea, but the very fact that Rob Green may be a friend of the blokes covering the Blues there, and therefore the incontrovertible fact that he was within the squad last year means he’s shooting up as a source more now than he ever was when he was actually playing.

This week they’re asking him about Kepa Arrizabalaga, the £71m signing that Green had to observe from the bench last season. The Daily Mail has all the quotes from the previous England goalkeeper, outside the paywall.

Green said that he “does have this side to him which is arrogant”, but that was couched in what was ultimately tons of praise.

He also spoke about how his attitude just “shows a strength of character.”

“He’s a very nice lad and he’s got an incredible attitude,” Green added.

Overall, you begin to urge the image . Nice but hyper-competitive and really confident. just about exactly what you would like within the personality of a footballer, especially a goalkeeper who is probably going to travel through bad patches where they need to stay calm and maintain their composure.

Let’s hope it helps him recover his form for the remainder of this season.
